Cedar Moon Guest House is located high atop a ridge in the pine and oak woods of historic Placer County, just ten minutes drive east of downtown Colfax on Interstate 80, and twenty minutes from Auburn.

Driving directions to Cedar Moon Guest House:
Take I-80 East from Sacramento/San Francisco, or take I-80 West from Reno, to the Dutch Flat exit. Go South, which is to the right, coming from Sacramento, or over the freeway to the left if you're coming from Reno. Drive past the California Highway Patrol office, and begin winding downhill. The pavment ends almost immediately. Continue over the bridge, and follow the dirt road for 1.75 miles, ALWAYS KEEPING TO THE LEFT. At the summit, watch for a sign on your left that reads: HOFFMAN. Turn sharp left there into the Cedar Moon driveway. The house will be visible in a moment.

Dutch Flat, an 1849 Gold Rush ghostown is a close neighbor.
A little further up the hill lies the indescribably blue Lake Tahoe. Twenty minutes later, you're in glittering Reno, Nevada.
