Gazing out over the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains of Northern California, Cedar Moon Guest House is restful sanctuary from the hurry of everyday life. It's a perfect location for a family reunion or for groups of ten to twenty people to gather and enjoy each other's company. Individuals are welcome during our Open Art weekends or Creative Play Workshops to relax into some 'Me Time'.

From the broad decks you can see for miles across the foothills of the historic California Gold Rush.

Take a long walk down miles of old roads, or choose a Sierra Club Trail within easy driving distance.

Gold panning is a favorite pastime for visitors in the creek at the bottom of the hill.

.Large groups or families renting the entire facility for the weekend have the option of cooking for themselves or enjoying our own homestyle cooking. We've listed our sample menus here for you to look at, and are very willing to accomodate your special dietary needs and tastes.
..........Indoors you'll find a spacious main room with a large dining table for family style meals, a cozy living area around a wood stove, and intimate nooks for chatting, reading or games.

..........Bedrooms abound, each with their own flair. Please look at our Accomodations page for a closer look.

Art is our thing. We love to have people come and just be creative all weekend long in whatever way suits them best.
Our rustic art studio is fully equipped with a ceramic kiln, tables for crafts and easels for painting. Do your own thing or take part in one of our creative workshops with a qualified instructor. The Activities page will tell you more about our art program, and details of upcoming workshops, classes and Open Art Weekends can be found on the Calendar page.
